We have our reading counts goal of 15 points for the month of November

Art is on Tuesday & Thursday from 10:15 - 10:45

Music is on Monday & Wednesday from 10:15 - 10:45

P.E. is everyday from 10:45 - 11:15

Lunch is 11:15 - 11:45

Pearson & computer lab from 1:15 - 1:45

ART TO REMEMBER IS DUE ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH!!!!

 

Look for my weekly grade sheet to inform you of your child's progress from last week.  My weekly grade letter is planned to be sent home on Wednesday.

When you check esembler for your child's grades, please keep in mind that you MUST look at the actual percentage...not the letter grade.

Reading / Language Arts

We will look up our definitions in the dictionary on Monday.

We will practice spelling our spelling words and studying / memorizing our vocabulary through individual and group games. Fun learning our spelling and vocabulary.

                                       

We are reading the story "Snowflake Bentley" in our reading series, unit 3.

We will read and discuss this story. Our individual assesment will be on Friday, following our jeopardy simulated study review on Thursday.

 

WRITING

We will be working on creative writing exercises for "I am thankful"

Poem week! Warning...if our poem presentations are not full of energy, enthusiasm, drama, voice, creativity, and expressive mannerisms...this will be our very final week of having fun with poems.  Although everyone has memorized their poem and provided props with their poems, they have left out their attitude, voice, and entertaining feature.  Poems are ment to entertain us, bring the audience into interest, not bore them. Please, please, please, bring your poems to life!

Math

Reading graphs, making graphs, and studying graphs.

we will read line plot graphs, stem and leaf graphs, bar graphs etc. as well as review mean, median, and mode.

 

Science / Social Studies: 

What is a hero? What is a veteran? Discuss importance of Veteran's Day.
